KCMA’s Martial Arts Curriculum is designed to teach the theory and practical application of each style, with an emphasis on real-world self-defense and everyday use.

Each Is Organized in a step-by-step manner for efficient learning.

My Philosophy Is that martial arts should be understood and applied in both theory and in practice.

Combat Submission Wrestling

Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW), developed by martial artist Erik Paulson, is a grappling-focused system that blends techniques from various disciplines like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Wrestling.

Emphasizing submission grappling, CSW equips practitioners with effective ground control, positional dominance, and fluid transitions for both self-defense and competition.

The system's adaptability and integration of diverse grappling techniques make it a potent and efficient choice for those seeking a comprehensive ground-fighting skill set.

Jeet Kune Do

Jeet Kune Do (JKD) is a hybrid martial art developed by Bruce Lee. Lee believed that no single martial art had all the answers and that every move did not work for every body type or personality, he therefore created JKD to incorporate the best elements of various traditional martial arts.

The JKD program is built on the core principles of basic Boxing, Fencing, Savate, Kickboxing, Wing Chun, and various grappling arts such as Judo and Wrestling.

It is designed to provide a comprehensive and dynamic martial arts training program that adapts to each individual's strengths and weaknesses.

The JKD curriculum is focused on practical application and emphasizes the development of flexibility, adaptability, and efficiency in one's techniques.

Our JKD class is held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30-7:30pm inside Ironwood Crossfit.

Filipino Martial Arts

Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) is a unique form of martial arts that covers a vast array of weapons and barehanded techniques.

This discipline includes the use of sticks, knives, swords, staffs, and other flexible weapons for combat.

Its empty-hand techniques are rooted in the traditional style of Filipino Boxing.

Additionally, FMA encompasses sensitivity drills, joint locks, breaks, and takedowns to provide practitioners with a well-rounded skill set for self-defense. Whether you prefer to fight with weapons or barehanded, FMA has something to offer for everyone.

Our FMA class at KCMA is designed to help students improve their reflexes, coordination, and processing speed through dynamic and fluid drills that focus on seamless transitions between techniques.

Our FMA class is held on Monday and Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:30pm inside Ironwood Crossfit.
